Health Wildcatters Graduates Class with Third Annual Pitch Day, Award from Dallas Regional Chamber

Healthcare seed fund and accelerator selected for Innovation Catalyst Award

Health Wildcatters, a mentorship-driven seed accelerator and supporter of healthcare solutions entrepreneurs, hosted its third annual Pitch Day on November 12 to graduate its latest class of startups. Pitch Day, considered the highlight of the program year, is an opportunity for startups to present their solutions to an audience of investors, media, friends, family and the local startup community.

“Pitch Day is the culmination of our 12 week program.” said Health Wildcatters CEO and Co-Founder Hubert Zajicek, MD, MBA. "The Class of 2015 entrepreneurs showcase their ideas and for many, it will be their big break to kick off a next round of funding."

The event, held at the Majestic Theatre in Downtown Dallas, introduced 10 startups involved in the program: Codedgi, Dynofit, DUALAMS, Exhale Healthcare Advocate, Flow MedTech, md Portal, Insight Optics, Noninvasix, Obaa, and Vidas Sanas.

Health Wildcatters’ commitment to improving job growth and the economy of Dallas hasn’t gone unnoticed. The Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) presented the accelerator with the Innovation Catalyst Blueprint Award on November 11. The honor celebrates companies and organizations that hold these characteristics and make DFW a strong economic environment.

“The Dallas Regional Chamber congratulates the 2015 Blueprint Award winners for their outstanding contributions to the local business community,” said Dallas Regional Chamber President and CEO Dale Petroskey. “They exemplify the momentum of DFW’s economy. Through job creation, expanding operations and innovation, these organizations are making a powerful impact on our region.”

Health Wildcatters, started in 2013, provides a 12-week program that offers initial seed investment as well as access to mentors, advisors, office space and strategic resources. As of Pitch Day, 32 companies have graduated from Health Wildcatters’ program and subsequently raised more than $12M. For more information on the accelerator, visit HealthWildcatters.com.
