Batman Executive Producer Michael Uslan Featured Guest at Biola University Studio Task Force Dinner

Biola University’s Cinema and Media Arts (CMA) Program sponsored a Studio Task Force Dinner at CBS Studios in Los Angeles with special featured guest speaker, Batman Executive Producer Michael Uslan. The evening was hosted by Jack Hafer, CEO of Boulevard Pictures and CMA’s Director of Special Projects.

Uslan is an Industry legend on the forefront of film and television development, as well as content exchange with China and Korea. In addition to multiple film and television projects, Uslan is the best-selling author of “The Boy Who Loved Batman,” and the just released Comic Book series “Lone Ranger / Green Hornet” published by Dynamite Entertainment. Uslan covered many topics including his recent Asian partnerships, the future of Virtual and Augmented Reality, and his rise from New Jersey Batman-obsessed schoolboy, to obtaining the sole rights and producing one of the most successful film franchises in history.

Invited guests included Biola alumni, Film Director Scott Derrickson, currently experiencing enormous box office success with the just released “Dr. Strange;” Producer, Matt Malek, behind the upcoming Scorsese film, “Silence” and “To The Bone” starring Keanu Reeves; and Director Michael Carney, of the upcoming Paramount feature, “Same Kind of Different As Me”. Other invited Biola alumni included Vine and YouTube sensation, Zach King.

Hafer expressed great enthusiasm about the evening stating, “It was such a coup to get someone like Michael Uslan, who is revered among producers and fans alike. It brought out the top Industry to the event – everyone was inspired!”

Hafer has multiple film and television projects slated for 2017 – including the star-filled motion picture, “Thirty Eight”, co-produced with Malek.
