SWACHA ANNOUNCES SECOND ANNUAL

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PAYMENTS SUMMIT ON NOVEMBER 6

Industry Executives Will Discuss the Future of the Payments Industry

DALLAS, October 14, 2014 –Dallas-based SWACHA, one of the largest not-for-profit electronic payments associations in the country announced today that it will host its second annual Executive Leadership Payments Summit (ELPS), in Irving, Texas on November 6, 2014.

ELPS is designed to bring together top executives from community banks, credit unions and other financial institutions to discuss important issues facing the ever-changing landscape of electronic payments. The 2014 summit will focus on emerging technology, new entrants and other market trends impacting the electronic payments industry

”The U.S. payments industry is undergoing a significant transformation and, given the pace of change and our current regulatory environment, many financial institutions are challenged to find a balance between innovation and ensuring a secure payments environment for their customers,” said Laura Steele, AAP,  president and COO of SWACHA. “ELPS provides a forum for executives to network with their peers, discuss the future of the industry, and hear from industry leaders who are at the forefront of fostering change within electronic payments.”

During the summit, attendees will learn more and participate in conversations regarding the hottest topics in the payment industry, which include:

  • Emerging technologies and generational preferences that are changing the face of consumer payments: How should your institution prepare?
  • The pros and cons of EMV technology implementation: Is it the best approach for securing consumer payments?
  • New entrants littering the payments landscape: Who will your institution be competing with tomorrow?
  • The transformation of the U.S. payments industry: Will technology, market demand and industry convergence lead to a completely new U.S. payments platform?

The summit will be held at The Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas, 500 West Las Colinas Blvd in Irving, TX, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on November 6, 2014.
