Pop music icon and lead singer for the Go-Go’s band, Belinda Carlisle, will headline the 10th anniversary MetroBall on June 5, 2015 at the S4 nightclub in Dallas. The annual party features world-famous musical talent, the winners of the Big D Talent Contest, a DJ-dance party, and incredible art and gifts at the Silent Auction. The MetroBall is the primary fundraising source for GDMAF, a North Texas-based 501c3 orga- nization founded in 1996 with a mission to provide emergency financial assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS and to those who are unable to receive social services assistance. Hollywood’s hometown girl, Belinda Carlisle was the lead singer for the wildly popular band, the Go-Go’s, before beginning a solo music career in 1985. The Go-Go's became the first all-
girl band to hit No. 1 on the charts by writing and playing their own songs. Throughout the early 1980s, the Go-Go's remained one of the most beloved bands in America, with hit songs like "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed" dominating radio and MTV. The discography of Belinda’s solo career includes seven studio albums, three compilation albums and thirty-one singles. Her memoir, Lips Unsealed, was published in 2010 by Crown Archetype.
