This is a bittersweet post that we hope that you help share with as many people as necessary.  We are sorrowful that in these times we have to worry about missing children.  We wish that they would love have to grow up in a society fearing to speak to a stranger.  But, we are also happy and optimistic that our agencies are recognizing the benefit of technology.  At Drop, we use QR codes to help brand your business and to simplify sharing your information.  Agencies for missing children and adults have also realized the importance of QR codes for the same reason.  Along with the picture of a missing child on the milk carton, we are starting to see QR codes on their website, posters, etc.  That way you can pull it up in case you recognize a missing person and you can also alert the authorities.  We think this is a WONDERFUL and AMAZING use of technology.
