Yesterday we wrote about how congressmember Angela Hunt was complaining about Main Street Garden being overrun by the homeless and bums. But, Robert Wilonsky of the Dallas Observer's Unfair Park blog, thinks there's an equally big problem plaguing the park: dog poop.

According to a Channel 4 report last night, city officials are attempting to up the city's efforts to enforce poop-scooping in parks by fining offenders $144. People can be given a fine just for not having a bag on them.

City Manager Mary Suhm, in an interview with Unfair Park, said, "We're gonna keep an eye on it. We do that kind of enforcement if we get complaints. We don't have a 'poop patrol' necessarily, but if a park - any park - were to call and say we're having a problem, we'd make a sweep."
