The property that was formerly the Hard Rock Cafe in Uptown has been sold to XL Capital LLC for $5 million. Dallas-based United Commercial Realty made the announcement on Monday about the sale and the Dallas Business Journal first reported the transaction.

The 36,992-square-foot property that sits at 2629 McKinney Avenue will be used as a cabana pool deck attached to a two-story lounge and restaurant offering two levels of valet parking. The Dallas Business Journal was able to uncover the name of the lounge and restaurant at the time the article was written.

Landes HR Properties LP, which originally bought the Hard Rock Cafe property in 2007, was the seller. The building was demolished after Hard Rock Cafe relocated to Victory Park.
