Ten outstanding North Texas teachers will receive $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for their school
JANUARY 13, 2014 (DALLAS, TX) – The Dallas Mavericks and The UPS Store have teamed-up again to present the 11th Annual Teacher Recognition Program, created to recognize North Texas educators for their work in the classroom.
Students in grades K-12, parents and principals may nominate their teachers by visiting mavs.com or any of The UPS Store locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to obtain an application and explain why their teacher deserves to be recognized. Ten (10) winning teachers will each receive $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for their school, as well as tickets to the Mavs vs. Suns game on April 8th where they will be recognized during halftime.
To qualify, nomination forms must be legible and filled out in their entirety, including an essay of 150 words or less about why the teacher should be recognized. All entries must be received to the Mavs organization by 5 p.m. CST Friday, March 6, 2015.
