Join us 167 years after the death of Edgar Allan Poe, as we meet detectives throughout history who will help us uncover the reason behind Poe’s untimely death.  Create your own magnifying glass and detective badge, and select your adventure path.  Your choices will lead you to stations throughout the Village to question detectives such as Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew and others, who will reveal important clues.  Learn about fingerprinting analysis, secret messages and decoders as different choices and clues help you advance around the Village for a fun day of science and mystery.

Come join in the fun and explore the Village which is celebrating 50 years!  It is an immersive history landscape that features a wide variety of authentic   19th century pioneer and Victorian homes and commercial buildings in Texas.  The Village is set on 20 acres with over 25 historic structures depicting life in Dallas from 1840-1910.  Dallas Heritage Village is one of only 5 nationally accredited museums in the Dallas area.  The Village showcases a Victorian Main Street, a railroad complex, a log cabin, a pre-Civil war home, an 1860’s farmstead with livestock, a 19th century church, schoolhouse and more.
