In conjunction with the temporary fall exhibit, “Neighborhoods We Called Home,” we are reading children’s books about cultures and tolerance. Let’s learn about different cultures, their differences and similarities! Story time will include a hands-on activity and a fun craft. Great for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
Neighborhoods We Called Home is a new collaborative exhibit with the Dallas Jewish Historical Society, the Dallas Mexican American Historical League, and Remembering Black Dallas, Inc. which explores the historic neighborhoods of Dallas that served as strong, supportive communities for African American, Hispanic and Jewish Dallasites from the early 1900s and beyond. Materials from these three co-sponsoring organizations will be installed in three corresponding structures at Dallas Heritage Village.
