Part of the new Dallas Film Membership Drive, the VIP membership provides year-round opportunities to attend monthly movie nights and social events at Studio Movie Grill, exclusive screenings, presale tickets/discounted passes to the Dallas International Film Festival powered by Capital One, filmmaker meet-and-greet opportunities, special seating at select events, and other benefits for $10 a month. According to Johnathan Brownlee, president and CEO of Dallas Film, the goal is to create a dialogue around film and connect people of all ages, enriching their ongoing relationship with film.
“Film is the most approachable art form, and it connects people through shared experiences. Our goal is to increase engagement with all types of film – major productions and independent films alike – strengthening a love of film overall,” said Brownlee. “We are passionate about the way film brings people together, and we are excited to provide more access to film all year long for families and individuals across DFW and the Metroplex.”
The membership program provides special perks and opportunities in support of the nonprofit organization’s mission to celebrate the past, present, and future of film. Members will enjoy exclusive benefits at the Dallas International Film Festival powered by Capital One from April 11 - 18, 2019, which will feature over 150 films from more than 25 countries.
“In addition to the Dallas International Film Festival powered by Capital One, we are expanding our educational programs for veterans and high school students next year, and we are also planning a film festival specifically for North Texas,” said Brownlee. “Our goal is to facilitate an ongoing relationship with film that everyone can enjoy, and we are thankful for the support of our sponsors and our members.
