We are blown away by the reception to #hearhere, which will bring Werner Herzog, Miranda July, Matt Groening and Stephen Dubner to the Winspear Opera House. We sell tickets a little bit differently to this series, so here’s what you need to know.

First, a little about the performers:

Stephen Dubner with Faith Salie in Get Your Freak On on May 4, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
The Freakonomics author and radio host will tease your brain with illuminating stories and new ideas alongside the colorful television personality Faith Salie.

Matt Groening and Lynda Barry in Love, Hate & Comics: The Friendship That Would Not Die on June 29, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
The creator of the Simpsons will talk comics and cartoons and crafting TV icons with his friend of forty years, an unparalleled cartoonist herself.

Miranda July in LOST CHILD! on July 8, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
The quirky, award-winning artist takes you into the world of a twee renaissance woman.

Werner Herzog on August 31, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
Genius. Icon. Documentarian. Herzog walks you through films and life in a rare and revealing talk where he discusses his latest project and the power of doing it your own way.

#hearhere tickets are originally sold only as part of a subscription, also sometimes called a four-pack.

Before we sell tickets to individual speakers, we first sell a #hearhere subscription, which includes tickets to all four #hearhere shows. Four-pack subscribers get 10% off tickets to the series, the opportunity to purchase discount parking passes and no added handling fees.

One subscription is good for one seat, so if you want to bring your spouse or friend, you’ll need to buy two subscriptions. This option is the best deal and also allows you to keep one seat location throughout the season. Subscriptions go pretty quickly, so we suggest purchasing now if you want to take advantage of this option.

As an added bonus, after you select your seats you’ll have the option to add parking and Supper Club passes for all four shows, with a five-dollar discount per show over the regular parking price.

If you purchased a subscription last year, you can keep your original seats if you renew by March 4, 2016.

If you purchased a subscription for last year’s season (which was then called #thinkspeak and included Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ira Glass, Jad Abumrad and Sarah Koenig) you can reserve the same exact seats you had last year, but you must act by March 4. If you want better or different seats, it’s our advice you call as soon as possible.

If you call ticket services at 214.880.0202, you can arrange to pay half when you purchase or renew a subscription and half on or before April 11, 2016.

#hearhere tickets for single shows will have four different sale dates.

If you do NOT want to purchase a subscription, you can purchase tickets to a single speaker. You’ll want to pay attention to the on-sale dates for each event, which you can get via email by signing up for our mailing list. Click here to sign up.

If you really want tickets (and in the best locations), your best bet is Center Circle.

Tickets to this series sell out lightning fast, but Center Circle gives you first access to amazing seats. Your tax-deductible membership donation also supports the Center and its community engagement programs.

For as little as $125, your Center Circle membership will give you the opportunity to buy subscription tickets in close-up sections and purchase single tickets BEFORE they go on sale to the public, for this series and many others. To become a Center Circle member, please click here.

  • At the Gold level ($500) you enjoy exclusive access to our Members Lounge with complimentary beverages before the show.
  • Want more? With the Platinum level ($1,000) you’ll even attend meet and greets with the speakers.

If you think these prices are a little steep, remember, you can always contribute in monthly installments. Call Membership Services at 214.978.2888, and they’ll work with you.
