When you want to live in a place that has just as much diversity in the things you do as with the kind of people that live there, you want to move to Dallas. The city offers its residents some of the best quality of life features along with a strong cultural vibe and economic security; everything you want to find in a new city. According to Destination DFW,

“Borne from humble beginnings as a city built around natural resources such as cotton and oil, becoming a national historic landmark as the place where John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, and evolving into a thriving center of business, dining, nightlife and fashion, Dallas has come a long way, baby.”

With such a wide range of potential in this city the possibilities of a rich and rewarding future in Dallas is well within reach.

A Business Mecca

The business climate in Dallas is one of the reasons the city has become a strong magnet for the younger demographic. With the average age of a Dallas resident around 33.5 years the main attraction is the wealth of job opportunities. The city has attracted some of the major players on the business front with a number of Fortune 500 companies on the list including businesses like Exxon Mobil, JC Penny, Texas Instruments among others. These businesses lay a cornerstone of opportunity for the up and coming who are trying to gain a foothold in the industry of their choice. This creates an economic situation that makes everyone a winner.

A Great Place to Play

We all know that people who live in Dallas know how to work hard but they also know how to play hard as well. The city is of full of opportunities for some down home family fun where everyone can be a part of something fun. With more than 400 parks, Six Flags Over Texas, and the State Fair of Texas making a showing every year, everyone will get their fair share of fun and excitement through all sorts of venues. As reported in Jasons House,

“The Metroplex is loaded with family fun, from over 400 parks to Six Flags Over Texas – the first theme park in the franchise – to its yearly, month long State Fair of Texas, held at Fair Park since 1886. Attractions at the Fair include a massive auto show, petting zoo, rides, and the largest selection of fried foods in the state of Texas.”

It’s one of the few places in the world where you can test out some of the most infamous fried foods you can imagine. This about fried Oreos, Twinkies, cheesecake, and you can even go a little calorie crazy and try a little fried butter as well.

Fashionable

While New York’s 5th Avenue may be the Fashion Capital of this country, we don’t want to sell Dallas short either. With Neiman Marcus making its home in Dallas, and the city being the “Birthplace of the American Mall,” Dallas has established a great reputation as a location where you can discover your sense of fashion and style.

As a matter of fact, if you love to shop then Dallas may be just the place for you. Not only were Malls created in Dallas but it is also home to the oldest shopping center in the country. As it explains in Moving to Texas,

“Highland Park Village is the oldest shopping center in America. And the metro area boasts “more shopping per capita” than any other US city. It’s filled with antique stores, boutiques, clothing stores, and other high-end retailers. Dallas is also home to the famous Neiman Marcus department store chain.’

The fact is that Dallas is one of the best places to spend your money. Not only does it cost less money to live there but it is also a city that rewards it residents on the opposite end as well. So, while other cities offer great big paychecks they usually come with great big rents and expenses as well. But Dallas is not like that; they offer those big salaries but keep living expenses low at the same time. That way your dollar will definitely stretch further than it would in many of the other cities across the country. You may want to try living in Alexan Trinity Apartments.

When you lay all of the facts out on the table it is clear that there is opportunity in Dallas and a positive outlook for the future if you decide to settle here.
