 ish\, film screenings in our Cinemark Theater\, kid-friendly activities th
 at explore what it means to be an Upstander\, and meet-and-greets with Hol
 ocaust survivors and descendants.  \n Free admission and programming made
  possible by Amazon. Visitors are encouraged to reserve tickets online in
  advance. Walk-ins will be accommodated based on availability. \n   \n SCH

  the creation of the monumental sculpture commissioned for the Museum’s Co

 istory – A first look at the documentary that tells the story of restoring
  and installing the Nazi-era boxcar in the new Museum.  \n 12:00 p.m. and
  3:00 p.m.   \n Voices of Courage – Featuring local Holocaust survivor int
 erviews created from rare archival footage and photographs.  \n 1:00 p.m.
  and 4:00 p.m.   \n Kid-friendly activities in the classrooms throughout t
 he day:  \n “Inspiration: An Upstander Puppet Shadow Theater\,” plus creat
 e-your-own shadow puppet keepsake (all ages).  \n “Be You Own Curator” int
 eractive program to create your own exhibition panel (ages 8+). \n Preserv
 ing Family Memories Workshop at 2:00 p.m.   \n Learn how to preserve famil
 y heirlooms\, photographs\, and memories for generations to come. Particip
 ants are invited to bring one or two items they wish to preserve. Photos a
 nd/or documents are recommended. Please\, no bulky items. \n Meet-and-gree
 ts with local Holocaust survivors and descendants of Holocaust survivors\,
  refugees\, hidden children\, and Kindertransportees during select times t

  Human Rights Museum \n The mission of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Righ
 ts Museum is to teach the history of the Holocaust and advance human right
 s to combat prejudice\, hatred\, and indifference. Founded in 1984 by loca
 l Holocaust survivors\, the institution now resides in a new building in d
 owntown Dallas where visitors experience a deeper immersion into the histo
 ry of the Holocaust\, human and civil rights\, their centrality to our dem
 ocracy\, and their vital importance in preventing events like those of the
  Holocaust from happening again. The 55\,000-square-foot permanent home co
 vers three floors\, and the main exhibition includes four wings that teach
  about the Holocaust\, the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human
  Rights after World War II\, historical and contemporary genocides\, and A
