DESCRIPTION:The  Hughes Family Tribute Center  will present its 11 th annua
 l Día de los Muertos Celebración over two weeks\, Saturday\, October 18 th
 rough Sunday\, November 2\, 2025 in Crown Hill Memorial Park and Mausoleum
 . The cemetery\, located in the Bachman Lake area\, is traditionally visit
 ed by families on Día de los Muertos. The Día de los Muertos Celebración b
 uilds on this tradition. The Celebración is free and open to the public an
 d held at Crown Hill Memorial Park and Mausoleum featuring the historic Ar
 t Deco style mausoleum\, recognized as a City of Dallas historic landmark.
  \nA lebrijes: Spirit Animals Art Exhibition opens Saturday\, October 18 a
 nd runs through Sunday\, November 2\, 2025. The exhibit features a central
  art installation\, Alebrijes \, by Ricardo Alarcón. \nIn addition to arti
 st Ricardo Alarcón\, the entertainment that evening will be Carolina Imper
 ial who recently won New Artist of the Year at the Catholic Music Awards h
 eld in Rome. She has also been selected to compete in Mexico Canta \,  an
  initiative of the Government of Mexico\, through the Ministry of Culture\
 , in collaboration with the Mexican Music Council. The evening will also h
 ighlight the design skills of Alfa de las Catrinas by Anel Anaya. \nThe Dí
 a de los Muertos Celebración   on Saturday\, November 2\, will   showcase
  the musical talents of Carolina Imperial and Mariachi Michoacan\, the art
  installation Alebrijes: Spirit Animals by artist Ricardo Alarcón\; dance
  performances by  Grupo Pakal \, specializing in Mayan dance presentations
 \; folklorico\, live mariachi music\; family art activities\, children’s e
 ntertainment\; and food and beverage and crafts concessions. \n The event
  will also feature a Catrina Contest with cash prizes: $500 for 1st place\
