DESCRIPTION:The Dallas Architecture Forum\, a non-profit organization dedic
 ated to providing public education about architecture\, design\, public sp
 ace and the urban environment\, continues its 2024-2025 Lecture Series on
  Wednesday\, January 15\, 2025\, at 7:00 pm. The Forum is pleased to prese
 nt award-winning architect and educator Eric Höweler . This Lecture will b
 e held at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station. Forum members m
 ay attend for free. Tickets for non-members will be available at the door
  - $5 for Students (with student id)\, $25 General Admission. Check-in and
  pre-Lecture Reception will begin at 6:15 pm in the lobby of the Angelika.
    \n Eric Höweler\, FAIA\, LEED AP is an architect\, designer\, and educa
 tor. He is co-founding partner of Höweler + Yoon and Professor in Architec
 ture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design\, where he is the
  Program Director for the Masters of Architecture Program. Höweler’s desig
 n work and research focuses on building technology integration and materia
 l systems. His projects range from cultural buildings and mixed-use reside
 ntial buildings to public spaces and interactive environments.  \nHöweler
  + Yoon is a design-driven architecture and urbanism practice whose work i
 s deeply informed by social and cultural context. Over the last 18 years\,
  they have built a reputation for work that is formally and technologicall
 y innovative\, socially engaged\, and conceptually rigorous. The award-win
 ning firm has sought to expand the scope of design beyond disciplinary bou
 ndaries\, has benefited from collaborations with experts in numerous field
 s\, and has taken a hands-on approach to design and implementation. This h
 as resulted in unprecedented work in atypical fields: interactive landscap
 es\, submersible structures\, stone vaulting\, and media projects. \nRecen
 tly completed projects include the MIT Museum at the Massachusetts Institu
 te of Technology\, the Collier Memorial\, the Memorial to Enslaved Laborer
 s at the University of Virginia\, and the Coolidge Corner Theatre expansio
 n. Höweler's work has been exhibited widely\, including at the Museum of M
 odern Art\, Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum\, and the Venice Biennale
 . Eric is the co-author of  Expanded Practice \,  Verify In Field: Project
 s and Conversations Höweler + Yoon \, and author of the forthcoming  Desig
 n for Construction: The Tectonic Imagination in Contemporary Architecture
