DESCRIPTION:The Dallas Architecture Forum\, a non-profit organization dedic
 ated to providing public education about architecture\, design\, and the u
 rban environment\, inaugurates its 2023-2024 Lecture Series by presenting
  architect Emmanuel Ramirez of Estudio MMX . This Lecture will be held at
  the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station at 7:00 pm. Forum members
  may attend for free. Tickets for non-members will be available at the doo
 r - $5 for Students (with student i.d.)\, $25 General Admission. Check-in
  and pre-Lecture Reception will begin at 6:15 pm in the Angelika lobby. \n
 Emmanuel Ramirez is a Founder and Partner of Estudio MMX\, an urban and ar
 chitectural design studio based in Mexico City. Emmanuel is an honors grad
 uate from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has a Masters i
 n Urban Design from The University College of London. Ramirez has worked i
 n leading architectural firms including Alberto Kalach’s Taller de Arquite
 ctura\, SOM\, and David Chipperfield Architects. He has developed his inte
 rdisciplinary interests in the fields of strategic urban design\, master p
 lans and architectural design. Ramirez has been a professor at IBERO and U
 T Arlington and has been invited by multiple national and international in
 stitutions to lecture on the work of Estudio MMX. \nEmmanuel and Studio MM
 X have received numerous awards including the Young Creators Scholarship a
 nd international awards including the Architectural League’s Emerging Voic
 es award\, the Architectural Record Design Vanguard award\, the National a
 nd International Cemex Awards and the Emerging Architecture Award from The
  Architectural Review. The studio’s award-winning work focuses on the rela
 tionship between three key elements: environment\, intervention and conten
 t. Each project is carefully analyzed through these lenses to determine an
 d develop its design. The studio’s work has been exhibited in galleries su
 ch as Storefront for Art and Architecture\, MOMA\, and the Venice Architec
