This April, join Dwell with Dignity for its bi-annual Thrift Studio, a “thrift store unlike any other thrift store.” The 30-day pop-shop provides financial viability and fundraising for Dwell with Dignity and raises funds to help families escape poverty and homelessness by selling donated furniture, home décor, accessories and high-end designer finds to the public. Some of Dallas’ top interior designers have teamed up this year to create vignettes at Thrift Studio, including: Pickard Design Studio + Robert Allen; Jan Showers; Culp Associates + Julio Quiñones; Mecox; SWOON, the studio; and Tompkins Lloyd Interiors + David Sutherland Showroom.

“I am extremely honored to be a part of Dwell with Dignity’s Thrift Studio and to have the opportunity to partner with Robert Allen. We hope to create an inspiring and original space, as well as bring additional awareness to this amazing organization that helps families escape poverty and homelessness through design, one household at a time,” said Sarah Pickard, president of Pickard Design Studio.

Thrift Studio and its cast of interior designers and tastemakers will install vignettes using items from Dwell with Dignity’s warehouse, as well as items they have donated from their own inventory or through industry connections.  All proceeds benefit the future work, growth, organization and structure of Dwell with Dignity.

“Dwell with Dignity is an organization like no other, and its ability to combine design with fundraising makes this a very important and unique event for us to be a part of. We look forward to Thrift Studio and seeing the impact it has on the Dallas community,” said Kelly Hardage, owner and president of Culp Associates.

"We are honored that such talented individuals and companies have chosen to support Dwell with Dignity by lending their creative vision and donations of merchandise to our event. This relationship with the Home and Interior Design industry exemplifies a collaborative effort toward the common goal of improving lives through design," said Lisa Robison, founder and president of Dwell with Dignity.

The event, located in the International on Turtle Creek Design Center, will kick-off with a Preview Party April 10th and will be open April 11 through May 10, 2014. The showroom is located at 150 Turtle Creek Boulevard, Suite 204, Dallas, Texas 75207.  For additional detail or to purchase tickets, please visit http://thriftstudio.com.
